Honor
[Trait]You have the moral stature of one who adheres to a strict code of honor.
Prerequisite: Lawful alignment.
Benefit: When using the skills Bluff, Diplomacy, Gather Information and Intimidate, add your Honor bonus (but not your penalty) to your skill checks. Your Honor bonus is +1 when the feat is selected, and is modified when your actions bring honor or shame to yourself. The DM awards any changes to your Honor bonus.
Gaining Honor: When you perform exceptionally honorable acts, the DM may add to your Honor bonus. Fulfilling a duty to oneself, such as avenging an insult or defeating in a duel an opponent who exceeds you by 2 or more levels or HD, adds 1 to your Honor bonus. Fulfilling a duty to others, such as avenging the murder of friends or family, adds 2 to your Honor bonus. Dying an honorable death adds 4 to your Honor bonus.
Losing Honor: When you perform exceptionally shameful acts, the DM may subtract from your Honor bonus. Failing a duty to oneself, such as refusing an honorable challenge or being defeated in a duel by an opponent whom you exceed by 2 or more levels or HD, subtracts 1 from your Honor bonus. Failing a duty to others, such as betraying a confidence or running from battle, subtracts 2 from your Honor bonus. Dying a cowardly death subtracts 4 from your Honor bonus.
